We hope you can join us this Thursday at 7 pm for another virtual ukulele gathering. We have a song list, but we would love it if you could submit and lead a song! It’s about the ukulele community, not just us! The registration link is below and the link to the song list (so far) will be included in your confirmation email after you register.

****POST UPDATED APRIL 12th: Changes are in GREEN and BOLD
Anacapa Zuumulele Sessions (#2) Thursday, April 16 at 7 pm We hope to see you! Our first one was fun and we think we have ironed out a few of the glitches (we will see). Our goal is to bring our ukulele community virtually together for some fun playing and to "see" each other during this "different" time in our lives We want this to be fun and we want as much participation as can be had in the virtual platform, and we appreciate your learning these ropes along with us! Due to the recent Zoom security concerns, we understand if you are hesitant to join; however we have taken steps to try to prevent our meeting ID from getting out into the general public. We are pretty sure no one would be very interested in disrupting our little group, but we want to err on the side of caution anyway. And while we can't guarantee that "bombers" won't be able to sneak in, we are doing our best to proactively protect ourselves. We highly encourage you to read our MEETING BASICS below and let us know if you have any questions, suggestions or other concerns. SONGS (updated 4/12/20)

Whew, that sounds so "formal" and rigid....so sorry, but we just want to ensure you of the steps we are taking to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone. Hope to see you! Hi,
Late, yes...but we think you will forgive us. Click on the buttons for the song sheets. We will also try to "screen share" if we figure that one out tonight. We are also standing by as of 6:45 pm for calls, FB messages, and last minute emails regarding our ZUUMULELE SESSION #1. Meeting entry closes at 7:15 (or a little after). If you have a song you want to lead or just play, raise your virtual hand in the meeting. Hope it goes well and that at the least, we get to see you! Here it is, our first "ANACAPA ZUUMULELE SESSION"
What is it all about? Sharing smiles, news, music, ukulele, and aloha. And a few surprises? Who knows? Please join us by clicking the link below. Do you have a special song that you'd like to lead? Let us know. We have a basic list that we can post here later on (if we get requests to do so). Some basics as we learn to get around in this new platform
Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you April 2nd! Topic: Anacapa Ukulele's ZUUMULELE virtual gathering #1 Time: Apr 2, 2020 07:00 PM Pacific Time (US and Canada) Join Zoom Meeting (Link removed because the meeting ended) PS You may want to look around our site. I heard that there may be some special stuff that you might like. Oh, my goodness. Who could have imagined?
We sincerely hope that you are finding some comfort and enjoyment playing your ukulele, maybe learning some new songs or strums, and maybe just spending some time online watching and listening to some of the many generous artists who are streaming online mini concerts. Music is magic. We are going to give "Zoom" a try. (The online meeting/webinar platform.) We intend to gather as many people as we can to try to play and listen and virtually gather to share music. We have "Zoomed" dear friends and just seeing faces and smiles is comforting on a level that is so special now that we are restricted from our normal visits and gatherings. I know that you, our customers and supporters will have patience with us as we fine-tune the "ANACAPA ZUUMULELE SESSIONS!" We are by no means professionals in the digtal sound and video world...but we want to connect! Thursday, April 2, 7 pm is the planned first event! Hope you can join us. We will provide more details soon! Take care, Aloha, Lloyd and Lisa Anacapa Ukulele They were. going to be in California this month. They were going to do a workshop at Anacapa Ukulele. We will book them again soon. We miss them, but that doesn't mean we can't still enjoy them. Please enjoy this beautiful song. Please help support our lovely musicians in any way you can. Mahalo and hope to see you soon. Dear Anacapa Ukulele Friends and Customers, With deep concern for the health and well-being of our customers, all of our families, and our community, we at Anacapa Ukulele have decided that it is in everyone’s best interest for us to take precautions and follow the recommendations of our local public health officials for “social distancing” as this COVID-19 pandemic evolves. We have been “playing it by ear” so-to-speak as the details have been unfolding and as much as we don’t want to disappoint anyone, we have decided that as of closing time (5 pm) on Saturday, March 14th, we will temporarily close our doors. This closure will include any previously scheduled group lessons/classes and everyone who has pre-paid will be contacted to make other arrangements. Our business is rooted in our goal to have people come in and touch, feel, play, and try several ukuleles while selecting the best fit, or selecting the right strings, and we hope that we can soon open our doors to provide you with this excellent and personal service again soon. Please do not hesitate to call us or email us if there is a specific item that you are in need of during our “closed” time and we will do our best to work with you on a “by appointment” basis (so long as you are not ill). We hope to reopen for “business as usual” sometime in early April, but we can’t say exactly when that will be. We will post an update here and on our Facebook page by the end of this month and as needed beyond that. We really do appreciate your business, and this has been a difficult decision to make, but everyone’s health and safety are our highest priorities. (Lloyd and I both come from a long background in the [emergency] medical field and have worked closely with disaster preparedness and care and our “Spidey-senses” have been triggered.) On a lighter note, remember-you still have today (Friday) from 11 am to 5 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 5pm to shop. Come in to see our fantastic (and large) selection of new books and ukuleles. We hope that you are feeling great. Stockpile some music books just in case! (Much more fun than what everyone else is stockpiling!) Remember that the ukulele can bring smiles under many conditions and can calm you and those around you! Who knows, maybe we (and maybe you) can post some cool videos of us/you playing some cool stuff! Above all, wash your hands and stay safe and healthy for yourself, for those you love and for those that you may never meet! Let’s beat this thing together.
