Wow! Thanks for supporting Anacapa Ukulele in this ever-evolving world we live in. One of our favorite things to do is support musicians of all levels and to present ukulele masters from near and far to our local community. We are thrilled to be able to once again host a "live" outdoor event in the new year. Kris Fuchigami will be returning for a short workshop and a performance in our courtyard. If you have seen him before, we know what a great player and person that he is. If not, please take a look at the video below for just a small sample of his talent. Kris will be accompanied by his very talented mother Keiko on keyboard. Kris has a heart of gold and is an inspiration to many players world-wide. His 9th Annual Kris Fuchigami Ukulele Contest is a fun watch and shows how Kris promotes music and the ukulele (link below video). Note that attendance will be limited in order to provide a comfortable event for all. More information about Kris and his many accomplishments can be found on our ticketing information platform by clicking the link below. Just a quickie to let you know that we are still hanging in here at Anacapa Ukulele!
We will be taking some time off this month to celebrate our wedding anniversary. (October 17th through 27th). Lloyd and Lisa have resumed private lessons, but we have not yet scheduled any group classes. Hopefully we will be able to do so soon. We keep hearing about "supply chain" delays, but have been fortunate so far and have an on-going and on-growing collection of new ukuleles and books. It is October, but the early bird gets the worm, as they say, so if you have a specific instrument or book you are interested in, please don't delay. We are considering going back to a 5-day/week schedule as well. Please give us your input for consideration. Mahalo for your support, Lloyd and Lisa Anacapa Ukulele Thank you for helping to keep Anacapa Ukulele in business through these recent times.
We are grateful to our loyal and new customers and look forward to serving the community in the "ukulele way" that brings happiness. We are happy to announce that we will be in the shop for walk-ins (no appointment needed) as of June 3, 2021. Our updated store hours are Thursday through Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm. (To be adjusted as indicated.) We will still offer appointments outside of these hours for those that cannot make it in during our normal hours of operation. Just call or email to make arrangements. Season's Greetings Regardless of how and what you celebrate at this time of year, we, Lloyd and Lisa, at Anacapa Ukulele wish you and yours the very best now and in the upcoming year. We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to all of you who have continued to support our small business and other small businesses in any way(s) that you have been able during this past roller-coaster year. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to be able to be of service and to bring the joy of the ukulele to our customers, both the new and "the regulars". It is because of you, and for you that we continue our small business. Our "virtual" connections have been great, but we look forward to resuming "live" events as soon as we can. Like the rest of you (and the world around us) we have adapted and then adapted some more to accommodate our customers and remain compliant with the health regulations. Our number-one priority is that of maintaining a safe and healthy environment in our store. We continue to offer appointments that can be scheduled by calling us. Our inventory continues to expand and we are continuing to offer instruments, straps, tuners, music books, CDs, and a variety of other accessories including custom items. Thank you again for your business. We look forward to a new year and wish you peace, love, and music! Aloha, Lloyd and Lisa Last-Minute Gift Idea (from the comfort of your own home):
